Tile/Stone Flooring Care and Maintenance

• Regular cleaning: Sweep the floor to remove all the grit and dirt.
• Remove spills: Immediately clean spills made from food and beverages.
• Mop the floor: Mop the floor once a week (or more often in heavy traffic areas) using a special cleaner. Ask us for recommendations.
• Use proper floor cleaner: Cleanser used should be a neutral pH compatible with grout cleaning. Don’t use detergent or soap as it can dull the surface or increase the growth of mildew. Ensure that the cleaning agent used doesn’t contain strong acids, vinegar, ammonia, or chlorine as they can damage and discolor the stone or tile and the grout.
• Protective mats: Use pads under furniture legs and protective mats at entryways.
• Apply sealer carefully: Wait till the grout cures before applying a sealer.
